Core Laboratories in Belgium is seeking a laboratory technician to perform basic to moderate analytical tests and operate standard lab equipment in line with ASTM, UOP, and IP standards. You will set up instruments, prepare chemical solutions, record data accurately, and follow safety practices.

The role requires attention to detail and the ability to work non-traditional hours as needed; prior lab experience is preferred. Training and compliance with safety regulations are part of the job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one-year related laboratory experience and/or training preferred.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Access).
• Knowledge of ASTM, UOP, IP and other well-defined analytical standards.

Responsabilités

• Sets up, adjusts and operates laboratory equipment for which trained and verified to operate correctly.
• Perform analytical tests of basic to moderate difficulty from well-defined standards and procedures.
• Clean and sterilize laboratory equipment.
• Calibrate laboratory instruments for which trained and verified to operate correctly.
• Prepare chemical solutions according to standard formulas.
• Follow safety and quality requirements in manuals and company policies.
• Attend training and pass examinations in petroleum, chemical and gas analysis and safety training.
• Complete laboratory raw data sheets and enter data into laboratory computer programs.
• Resolve routine issues without supervision.
• Attend regular safety meetings.
