imec seeks a Quantum Device R&D engineer to contribute to the design and characterization of ultra-high performance spin qubit devices at Leuven, Belgium. You will work with the integration and fabrication teams to advance quantum devices in industrial nanofabrication facilities.

The role emphasizes cryogenic measurements, collaboration across disciplines, and communication of results through publications and presentations within a world-class research environment.

Qualifications

• You are a Quantum Device engineer with strong publication record.
• You have a PhD in physics or Electrical Engineering.
• You have a solid understanding of quantum device physics.
• You have knowledge of advanced CMOS technology and cryogenic devices.
• You communicate complex concepts clearly and work well in cross-functional teams.

Responsabilités

• Conception and design of single and multi-qubit spin qubit devices.
• Cryogenic characterization of qubit performance metrics and lifetimes.
• Develop and troubleshoot measurement infrastructure with dilution refrigerators and cryostats.
• Collaborate with integration and fabrication teams to develop roadmaps and scaling.
• Engage with partners and contribute to bilateral projects and publications.
