Job summary

Keysight Technologies is offering a six-week Software Engineering Internship in Summer 2027 focused on Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC) design automation. You will contribute to EPDA initiatives, developing advanced photonic design software and CAD/CAE tools.

The role supports development, validation, and optimization of PIC design workflows, with opportunities to learn and collaborate within a team of engineers.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Photonics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Programming experience with Python or C++.
• Basic understanding of photonics, electronics, and engineering principles.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and software tools.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

We are looking for passionate Software Engineering Interns to join our Keysight Electronic Design Automation (EDA) team for 6 weeks beginning in Summer 2027.

This internship focuses on the development of Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC) Design Automation solutions. As part of our Electronic Photonic Design Automation (EPDA) initiative, you will contribute to the development of advanced photonic design software, photonic CAD/CAE tools, and solutions supporting the design, simulation, analysis, and layout of Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) and photonic device systems.

In this role, you will support:
