Job summary

Rolls-Royce Power Systems AG in Belgium is seeking a Quality Controller to perform visual and dimensional controls, manage control plans, and support non-conformity investigations within a production environment. You will work with metrology tools to ensure traceability and documentation prior to shipment.

The role requires 3–5 years in an industrial setting, autonomy, strong communication in English and French, and a proactive approach to continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with a technical orientation (mechanics, electro-mechanics, electricity, etc.)
• English (intermediate) and French written/spoken proficiency
• Experience in Quality Control is an asset
• Knowledge of metrology and 3D measurement is an asset

Responsibilities

• Carry out visual and dimensional controls on parts, including 3D measurements.
• Manage control plans for incoming goods and defect tracking.
• Support non-conformity management and investigations (8D, 5 Why's).
• Ensure traceability and QA documentation before shipment.

Job DescriptionTasks & responsibilities:The activities can be adapted according to the changing needs and organization of the company.The Quality Controller works in collaboration with the various departments and according to needs.The activities consist to :Carry out controls:Carry out controls (visual and dimensional including 3D measuring machine)Carry out controls at subcontractorsManagement of control plans (incoming goods):Check specificities in order to validate the Quality and adapt control planMaintain a list of defects, their criticality, and their acceptabilityPropose adaptations on the frequency and type of tests to be performed based on the issues encounteredManaging the documents used by the production:Check that the controls are doneFollow up corrective actions in case of failureRaise awareness and inform operators of deviationsFormulate proposals for improvement in the controls to be carried outParticipate in the management of non-conformities (internal, external and suppliers):Participate in working groups (support of the Quality Engineer) by controlling parts in order to determine the causes of a non-conformity according to the methodologies in place (8D, 5 Why's, ...)Communicate the results of the investigations to the persons concernedMonitor the implementation of actions resulting from analysesCarry out traceability searchesAnalyse stocks if necessaryParticipate, if necessary, in the management of the quarantine zone.Perform Quality check-out (Overhaull, project, ...)Ensure the conformity of the machines and their equipments before shipment (closure of actions to be carried out before shipment, check of completed documents, conformity with customer requirements, ....)Ensure the follow-up of the metrology of the Quality Laboratory Control instruments.Support metrology and measurements for Overhaulls activity.Profile:EducationBachelor's degree with a technical orientation (mechanics, electro-mechanics, electricity, etc.)Experience3 to 5 year’s experience in the industrial sectorA man of the field, persevering and a good teacherA first experience in a Quality Control department is an assetGeneral knowledge of power generation systemsKnowledge of machining techniques (3D, metrology, …) and control tools is an assetBe autonomous in the function, dynamic and proactiveEnglish (intermediate level) / FrenchGood written and verbal communicationRigorousThorough knowledge of Microsoft Office (outlook, word and excel)Team spiritType of ContractPermanent
