Materialise Manufacturing is seeking a metrology professional to support automated full surface digitization using optical 3D measuring equipment. You will focus on ensuring robust processes, documenting procedures, and maintaining traceability across multiple customers.

Qualifications

• Preferred degree: Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Experience with 3D scanning, dimensional measurement techniques, and interpreting scan data.
• Ability to generate inspection reports from scan data and drawings.
• Background in Quality Control and Manufacturing processes, ISO 9001 knowledge a plus.
• Ability to analyze process capability and improve scanning strategies and workflows.

You will be working in a metrology environment with optical 3D measuring equipment for automated (full surface) digitization.

You focus on the robustness of the process, including both technological and operational flow/logistical aspects. You know the intended process and have a view on the process as it is executed and its capabilities. By building up your expertise in the scanning process, you will be able to take an active role in implementing improvements in the scanning strategies for multiple customers.

You ensure that the scanning process is well described and can be executed as intended. This includes up to date procedures and standard work sheets for operators, traceability guarantee, logging of production relevant data for analysis.

What you will do:

• Work in a metrology environment with optical 3D measuring equipment for automated (full surface) digitalization

• Build your expertise in the scanning process to take an active role in implementing improvements to scanning strategies across multiple customers
• Ensure that the scanning process is well described and can be executed as intended. This includes up-to-date procedures and standard work sheets for operators, traceability guarantee, and logging of production-relevant data for analysis
• Support first article inspections (FAI), product validation, and quality investigations

Your profile:

• Preferreddegree: Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, IndustrialEngineeringPrecision Engineering, QualityManagement, etc.
• Technical skills:experience in 3Dscanning, knowledge of dimensional measurement techniques, engineeringdrawings,and technical specifications, ability to interpret scan data and generate inspection reports
• Quality Control andManufacturingExperience:experience in quality inspection, productvalidation,manufacturingprocessmonitoringand improvement,understandingof ISO9001and SOPs
• Process Improvement Skills:ability to analyze process capability and measurement results, experience improving scanning strategies, inspection methods, and production workflows
• Soft skills:strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills,analyticalthinking, communication skills,ability to document processes clearly, organization skills, and teamwork
