Job summary

Sartorius is seeking a Quality Control Manager based in Herstal to lead QC analytical activities and in-process controls, ensuring consistent product quality across our manufacturing environment.

You will drive continuous improvement of analytical methods, ensure GMP/QMS/regulatory compliance, and collaborate closely with Manufacturing, QA and cross-functional teams while guiding staff and preparing detailed quality reports for audits and CAPA activities.

Qualifications

• Academic degree in Life Sciences or related field.
• Extensive QC management experience in a regulated environment.
• GMP/QMS knowledge preferred.
• Strong data analysis and statistics knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead QC analytical activities and in-process product controls.
• Drive continuous improvement of analytical methods and lab processes.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, QMS, and regulatory requirements.
• Review customer requirements and translate them into QC processes.
• Evaluate analytical systems and procedures and identify improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate and develop QC inspectors, technicians, and lab staff with guidance and training.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, QA and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Prepare detailed quality reports for management and support audits, investigations, and CAPA activities.

• Lead and oversee QC analytical activities and in-process product controls to ensure consistent quality standards
• Drive the continuous improvement of analytical methods and laboratory processes to enhance reliability and efficiency
• Ensure compliance with company quality standards as well as applicable GMP, QMS, and regulatory requirements
• Review customer requirements and translate them into effective quality control processes
• Evaluate analytical systems and procedures on an ongoing basis and identify opportunities for improvement
• Coordinate and develop QC inspectors, technicians, and laboratory staff by providing guidance, training, and constructive feedback
• Actively contribute to production meetings and collaborate closely with Manufacturing, QA, and other cross-functional stakeholders
• Prepare detailed quality reports for management and support audits, investigations, and CAPA activities

What Will Convince Us

• Academic degree in Life Sciences or a related field
• Extensive experience in quality control management within a regulated environment
• Certification in quality management or quality control standards such as GMP is considered a strong advantage
• Proven expertise in analytical laboratory technologies and precision measurement tools
• In-depth knowledge of quality control practices related to bioprocessing and biomanufacturing, including GMP, QMS, and relevant regulatory frameworks
• Strong analytical capabilities with solid knowledge of data analysis and statistical methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a structured approach to decision-making
• Strong communication, presentation, organizational, and leadership skills combined with effective people management capabilities
• Very good written and spoken English skills
