Job summary

MindCapture BV is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to own QA and food safety for a food-industry client. You will define quality strategies, KPIs and lead a QA/QC team across production to ensure compliance.

You will develop and maintain QMS per FSSC 22000, IFS, HACCP and GMP, while driving CAPA, audits and regulatory guidance. Collaboration with production, R&D and management will drive continuous improvement and a strong quality culture.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field (Food Science, Technology, Biochemistry or related)
• Several years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Management or Food Safety in the food industry
• Strong knowledge of FSSC 22000, IFS, HACCP, GMP and related legislation
• Proven leadership experience coaching and developing teams
• Strategic mindset with pragmatic, analytical and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of QA and Food Safety, defining strategies, objectives and KPIs
• Develop and maintain QMS in line with standards (FSSC 22000, GMP, HACCP, IFS)
• Lead, coach and develop the QA/QC team and prioritize activities
• Ensure quality, hygiene and safety across the full production chain
• Manage CAPA, recalls, traceability, audits and regulatory compliance
• Coordinate internal and certification audits and close findings
• Collaborate with production, R&D and management to drive continuous improvement
• Monitor quality performance and promote training-based quality awareness

Job Description:

• Take ownership of Quality Assurance and Food Safety, defining quality strategies, objectives and KPIs.
• Develop, maintain and continuously improve quality management systems according to FSSC 22000, GMP, HACCP and IFS standards.
• Lead, coach and develop the QA and QC team while setting clear priorities.
• Ensure quality, hygiene and food safety throughout the entire production process.
• Manage CAPA, product recalls, traceability, food defence, food fraud and quality incidents.
• Coordinate internal, certification and customer audits, ensuring effective follow up of findings.
• Support regulatory compliance and provide guidance on food legislation and product requirements.
• Collaborate with production, operations, research and development and management to drive continuous improvement.
• Monitor quality performance, report to management and promote quality awareness through training.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related field.
• Several years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Management or Food Safety within the food industry.
• Strong knowledge of FSSC 22000, IFS, HACCP, GMP and relevant food legislation.
• Proven experience managing and improving quality management systems.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience coaching and developing teams.
• Strategic mindset combined with a pragmatic approach and strong analytical capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Structured, detail oriented and capable of managing complex priorities.
• Flexible, resilient and comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
