OneTech Solutions BV in Brussels is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to support QA for enterprise applications, combining hands-on automation with functional, integration, and E2E testing in an Agile setting.

You will design automated test suites, prepare data, execute tests, and collaborate with Developers, Product Owners and Analysts to ensure quality and release readiness in a hybrid model (2 days on-site per week).

Qualifications

• Proven professional experience as a Test Automation Engineer / Automation Tester / QA Automation Engineer.
• Strong hands-on test automation and scripting/programming experience.
• Proven experience creating test plans, test designs, test cases and test scenarios.
• Strong experience with functional, integration, regression and E2E testing.
• Practical experience executing tests and managing the complete defect lifecycle.
• Good knowledge of performance/non-functional testing concepts.
• Basic working knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases and queries.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams.
• Fluent English in professional settings.

Responsabilités

• Design and maintain comprehensive test plans, scenarios and test cases based on requirements and acceptance criteria.

• Regularly execute and maintain automated regression suites.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Test Automation Engineer to support the quality assurance and testing of enterprise applications and data-driven solutions.

The role combines strong hands-on test automation with functional, integration, E2E and non-functional testing. You will design and maintain automated test suites, prepare test scenarios and test data, execute tests, investigate defects and work closely with developers, Product Owners, Business Analysts and other stakeholders throughout the Agile development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain comprehensive test plans, test scenarios and test cases based on business requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Identify appropriate test cases for automation and implement maintainable automated test suites.
• Regularly execute and maintain automated regression suites.
• Perform functional, integration, system, regression and end-to-end (E2E) testing.
• Support and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders where required.
• Perform or contribute to non-functional testing, particularly performance/load testing, security and data-quality testing.
• Prepare and manage appropriate test data across test environments and connected systems.
• Analyse test scope and risks and ensure adequate test coverage.
• Execute tests and document results with clear evidence, including logs and screenshots.
• Identify, report, track and follow up defects through resolution in collaboration with development teams.
• Analyse failed automated tests and distinguish application defects from test-script/environment issues.
• Provide clear reporting on test results, quality trends, open defects and release readiness.
• Contribute to Go/No-Go and release-readiness decisions from a quality perspective.
• Collaborate effectively within Agile/Scrum teams and contribute to continuous QA improvement.

Test Automation Skills

• Strong hands-on test automation experience.
• Experience designing, implementing and maintaining automated test frameworks and test suites.
• Playwright and/or Robot Framework experience.
• Programming or scripting skills, preferably Python, or equivalent automation/scripting capability.
• Automated regression testing and integration of suitable test cases into reusable automation suites.
• Ability to troubleshoot automated test failures using application logs and technical evidence.
• Understanding of API/Web Service testing and frontend/backend application architecture.
• Experience incorporating automated testing within Agile/DevOps delivery environments.
• Knowledge of test automation principles including maintainability, reusability and test coverage.

Must-Have Skills
