Job summary

LaCAR is a fast-growing biotech company focused on CE-IVD diagnostic kits for genetics and newborn screening. We are seeking a QC Scientist to ensure quality, reliability, and robustness of analytical results in a regulated environment.

You will collaborate with Production, R&D, and QA, train technicians, and contribute to methods improvement. The role emphasizes hands-on QC work (ELISA, qPCR, MS), documentation, and CAPA-driven improvements within the Liège region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in chemistry or biochemistry.
• At least 3 years of experience in Quality Control within biotech/pharma or analytical lab.
• Strong hands-on experience with ELISA, qPCR, and mass spectrometry.
• Experience with antibody conjugation (HRP/Biotin) is a plus.
• Experience with Deviations, CAPA, Change Controls, OOS/OOT.
• Fluent English (minimum B2) and familiarity with ISO 13485/IVDR/FDA environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform QC analytical testing (ELISA, qPCR, MS) per procedures and quality standards.
• In-coming QC of raw material, in-process controls, and release testing to ensure batches meet specs.
• Analyze, interpret, and document results with accuracy and traceability.
• Draft and maintain QC docs, deviations, CAPA, change controls, and OOS/OOT investigations.
• Participate in non-conformity investigations and root-cause analysis.
