EXMAR Shipmanagement, based in Antwerp, seeks a Purchaser to reinforce the Procurement & Logistics team. You will ensure efficient, economical supply of spares, stores and services to assets, supporting uninterrupted operations.

The role requires 3+ years in technical procurement or logistics, strong vendor negotiation, and excellent stakeholder communication with seafarers and Technical Superintendents. Fluency in Spanish and English is essential, with Excel proficiency and MS Office skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent through relevant work experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in technical procurement or logistics.
• Strong affinity or genuine interest in technical products and processes.
• Meticulous and detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy in all tasks.
• Proactive, demonstrating initiative and anticipating needs.
• Strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
• Excellent communicator, confident in interacting with a wide range of stakeholders (including seafarers, Technical Superintendents and suppliers).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
• Fluent in both written and spoken Spanish and English.

• Ensure timely supply to assets and keep the team updated on delivery schedules.
• Evaluate vendor performance and share best practices to support continuous process improvement.

Overview

The EXMAR Group is currently looking for a Purchaser to reinforce the EXMAR Shipmanagement Procurement & Logistics team in Antwerp.

Your role in the team

The objective of this role is to ensure efficient and economical supply of spares, stores and services to the assets as a member of the shore based fleet team, in order to support continued and efficient asset operations.

Responsibilities

• Collect and compare price inquiries for spares, stores and services from multiple vendors;
• Verify vendor offers and align them with asset and operational requirements;
• Negotiate commercial and legal terms with vendors to ensure best value;
