Kebony Antwerp seeks a Purchasing Specialist to own end-to-end PO execution, manage supplier relationships, and ensure EUDR compliance for our Antwerp factory.

You will support master data and production planning, coordinate with departments, and monitor spend while seeking cost-saving opportunities. Fluent English is required, Dutch a plus; international environment experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of procurement experience in an international environment.
• Experience with ERP systems and MS Excel.
• Fluent in English; Dutch language is a bonus.

Procurement is a vital link between our global suppliers and the factory floor – it secures the raw materials Kebony depends on, safeguards our sustainability commitments, and keeps production running smoothly. As Purchasing Specialist, you will complete our Supply Chain team, owning end-to-end purchase order execution, supplier relationships, and EUDR compliance, while supporting master data and production planning for our factory in Antwerp.

• Identify purchasing needs and coordinate with department heads to determine specifications
• Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, reliability, and delivery timelines
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors
• Issue purchase orders and track order status through delivery
• Monitor inventory levels and reorder points to prevent shortages or overstock
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance
• Resolve issues related to delayed shipments, damaged goods, or invoice discrepancies
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new suppliers
• Analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures
• Collaborate with finance/accounting on invoice matching and payment processing

Compliance & Sustainability

• Take main responsibility for EUDR implementation in procurement, ensuring the continued compliance of our sourcing with international standards – responsibly and sustainably sourced wood is key to our business
• Maintain and update supplier and chain-of-custody certifications (e.g. FSC / PEFC), safeguarding full traceability of wood origin from forest to factory
• Monitor evolving international timber trade regulations and translate new requirements into procurement procedures, working closely with our Quality and Sustainability colleagues

Planning & Data Management

• Support master data management and production planning – maintain data relevant to supply chain such as safety stocks and purchase forecasts, and create production plans for our factory in Antwerp based on business requirements
• Analyse consumption patterns and supplier lead times to determine optimal safety stock levels and reduce the risk of raw material shortages
• Provide procurement input into the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, flagging risks to raw material availability at an early stage

What we are looking for: Experience, Qualifications & Skills

• >5 years' previous work experience in procurement in an international environment, preferably in the wood industry
• Strong understanding of logistical processes and terminology (e.g. Incoterms, …)
• Working experience with ERP systems
• Strong proficiency in MS Office skills, especially Excel
• Fluent in English, Dutch is a bonus
