Pauwels Consulting is seeking a Project Manager to drive data and digitalization initiatives within a leading public sector organization. You will own end-to-end ICT projects, including data platform modernization and the rollout of new digital solutions.

The role requires 5+ years in project management for infrastructure or software development, strong governance reporting, and collaboration with external suppliers. Dutch (C2) fluency is essential, with a hybrid work setup in Belgium.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in Infrastructure or Software Development projects.
• Experience managing multiple projects in complex public sector environments.
• Proven track record with external suppliers and integration partners.
• Knowledge of Prince2 or PMBOK.
• Experience with Microsoft Purview or Data Governance trajectories.
• Knowledge of Cognos.
• Experience leading steering committees and executive reporting.
• Dutch language at C2 level.

Our client, a leading public sector organization focused on digital urban services, is looking for a Project Manager to drive data and digitalization initiatives. This role involves end-to-end responsibility for complex ICT projects, including data platform modernization and the implementation of new digital solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans while monitoring scope, timing, budget, and risks.
• Coordinate collaboration between business stakeholders, internal ICT teams, and external suppliers.
• Facilitate decision-making processes and elevate issues to project or steering groups when necessary.
• Manage migration and modernization tracks within the existing data platform.
• Deliver clear reporting on project progress and realization of objectives to senior management.
• Apply standard project management methodologies to ensure quality and professionalize internal workflows.

Requirements

• You have 5+ years experience as a Project Manager in Infrastructure or Software Development projects.
• You possess experience managing multiple projects simultaneously within complex organizational environments and the public sector.
• You bring a proven track record in managing external suppliers and integration partners.
• You possess deep knowledge of project management methodologies such as Prince2 or PMBok.
• You have experience with Microsoft Purview or Data Governance trajectories.
• You have functional knowledge of Cognos.
• You possess experience leading steering committees and managing executive reporting and decision-making processes.
• You are fluent in Dutch with a C2 level.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with Data, Cloud, or Digitalization projects.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and ITIL.
• Proficiency in Jira and MS Project.
• Knowledge of Planner Premium and MS Office.
