European DIGITAL SME Alliance in Brussels seeks a Project Manager to contribute to EU-funded cybersecurity initiatives and strengthen Europe’s cyber resilience and digital sovereignty. You will coordinate international partners, manage deliverables, and contribute to European cybersecurity policy and innovation.

We expect 2–3 years of relevant experience, a university degree in a related field, and excellent English skills.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, European Studies, Political Science, Public Policy, International Relations, Engineering, or another relevant field.
  • 2–3 years of relevant professional experience in project management, EU-funded projects, cybersecurity, digital policy, European affairs, or a related field.
  • Experience working with European institutions, EU-funded programmes, international consortia, or industry associations is an advantage.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsabilités

  • Manage and contribute to the implementation of EU-funded cybersecurity and digital projects throughout their lifecycle.
  • Take responsibility for project planning, coordination, monitoring, deliverables, reporting, and follow-up.
  • Coordinate project partners and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and timely delivery of project activities.
  • Contribute to policy briefings, consultation responses, position papers, and recommendations related to cybersecurity and digital resilience.
  • Represent DIGITAL SME in project consortium meetings, policy discussions, conferences, and other relevant events.

The European DIGITAL SME Alliance is Europe’s largest ICT SME association, representing more than 45,000 small and medium-sized enterprises through its network of national and regional member associations.

Join the European DIGITAL SME Alliance as a Project Manager and contribute to EU-funded initiatives that strengthen Europe’s cybersecurity, digital resilience, and technological sovereignty. This role is suited to a professional with 2–3 years of relevant experience who is ready to take ownership of projects, coordinate international partners, and contribute to European cybersecurity policy and innovation.

The successful candidate will manage and contribute to a portfolio of European projects covering cybersecurity, cyber resilience, digital sovereignty, trust and security in emerging technologies, SME cybersecurity, and related areas of European digital policy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and contribute to the implementation of EU-funded cybersecurity and digital projects throughout their lifecycle;
  • Take responsibility for project planning, coordination, monitoring, deliverables, reporting, and follow-up;
  • Coordinate project partners and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and timely delivery of project activities;
  • Contribute to the development of project work plans, milestones, budgets, risk management, and performance monitoring;
  • Prepare and review technical and policy deliverables, reports, presentations, briefing documents, and other project documentation;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with SMEs, cybersecurity companies, research organisations, policymakers, public authorities, and other relevant stakeholders;
  • Conduct research and analysis on European cybersecurity policy, legislation, funding programmes, and market developments;
  • Contribute to policy briefings, consultation responses, position papers, and recommendations related to cybersecurity and digital resilience;
  • Monitor relevant EU policy and regulatory developments, including the NIS2 Directive, Cyber Resilience Act, EU Cybersecurity Strategy, and related initiatives;
  • Lead or support communication, dissemination, and stakeholder engagement activities, including workshops, webinars, conferences, and networking events;
  • Represent DIGITAL SME in project consortium meetings, policy discussions, conferences, workshops, and other relevant events;
  • Identify new project opportunities and contribute to the preparation of project proposals and applications for EU funding;
  • Contribute to the development of DIGITAL SME’s cybersecurity portfolio and strategic priorities.
Candidate Profile

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • A university degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, European Studies, Political Science, Public Policy, International Relations, Engineering, or another relevant field;
  • 2–3 years of relevant professional experience in project management, EU-funded projects, cybersecurity, digital policy, European affairs, or a related field;
  • Experience working with European institutions, EU-funded programmes, international consortia, or industry associations is an advantage;
  • Excellent written and spoken English;
  • A strong interest in cybersecurity, cyber resilience, digital technologies, European digital policy, and SME competitiveness;
  • Good understanding of European cybersecurity policy and regulatory developments, such as NIS2, the Cyber Resilience Act, the EU Cybersecurity Strategy, or related initiatives;
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage several activities and deadlines simultaneously;
  • Excellent communication, writing, research, and analytical skills;
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including companies, researchers, policymakers, public authorities, and industry representatives;
  • Strong digital literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office. Experience with project management, CRM, communication, or content management tools is an asset;
  • A proactive and solution-oriented approach, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently;
  • Knowledge of another EU language, particularly French, Dutch, or German, is considered an asset.
