Job summary

TEC nv is seeking a Project Manager for the Copper Phase Out in Telecom. You will join the copper migration team and drive customer migrations from copper to fibre, ensuring continuity and operational efficiency. You will validate migration paths, support decision-making, and coordinate with multiple teams to keep projects on track.

The role offers a permanent contract with a tailored salary and the chance to develop strong coordination and technical skills in a multilingual environment.

Qualifications

• Fluent in French, Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
• Willingness to learn telecom platforms, customer access technologies and provisioning flows.
• Experience in telecom operations, service provisioning or network migration is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead copper phase-out migration projects with a focus on customer continuity and operational efficiency.
• Coordinate migrations with cross-functional teams and track deadlines and dependencies.
• Provide migration feasibility assessments and support decision-making across stakeholders.
• Produce regular reports on migration status and blockers to keep progress visible.
• Assist in consolidating network sites or equipment during program compressions.
• Ensure smooth transitions during rehosting activities across platforms/locations.
• Support modernization and decommissioning plans through migration initiatives.
• Work with engineering and operations to align actions on network upgrades and resource optimization.

The offer

• As a Project Manager you will join the Copper Phase-Out team and help accelerate the migration of customers from copper-based services to fibre.
• Customer migrations are yours to coordinate, with a strong focus on operational efficiency and customer continuity, action plans stay on track because you follow up on deadlines and dependencies.
• Together with the cross-functional teams, you validate migration paths and ensure their feasibility, internal stakeholders rely on you to support decision-making, resolve issues and keep departments aligned.
• Regular reports show the migration status and blockers, so progress remains visible.
• Compacting programmes also fall within your scope, as you support the consolidation of network sites or equipment.
• During rehosting activities, you ensure smooth transitions of services or equipment between platforms or locations.
• Equipment migration initiatives linked to modernisation, simplification or decommissioning plans benefit from your support.
• With the engineering and operational teams, you align actions related to network upgrades and resource optimisation.
• This role has a direct impact on the efficiency and evolution of the network infrastructure, and it lets you develop your operational, technical and coordination skills in a dynamic, multilingual environment.

Profiel

Desired profile

• Full professional proficiency in French, Dutch and English, both spoken and written
• Good understanding of, or willingness to learn, telecom platforms, customer access technologies and provisioning flows
• The following are an asset:
  • experience in telecom operations, service provisioning or network migration
  • previous involvement in cross-functional or transformation projects
• Complex technical cases don't put you off: you analyse them and propose migration solutions.
• New internal tools and systems for migration and network transformation are quickly mastered.
• Strong communication and coordination skills help you collaborate effectively with multiple teams.
• Your organisational skills allow you manage diverse topics simultaneously.
