In4Matic is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a large-scale business transformation, owning project planning, budget management and financial follow-up. You will collaborate with programme leadership, sponsors and cross-functional teams to monitor progress, control costs and deliver expected outcomes.

The ideal candidate combines strong PM skills with budget discipline and experience in governance frameworks, Excel, and BI tooling, with Dutch and English language proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Business Administration, Business Engineering, Finance, Economics, Project Management or a related field.
• Several years of experience in project management, PMO, or project controlling with budget and performance monitoring.
• Strong interest in budget management, financial forecasting and cost control.
• Excellent analytical ability to translate data into insights.
• Familiarity with PRINCE2, PMI/PMP or Agile is an asset.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; Power BI reporting is a plus.
• Experience with SAP/SAP S/4HANA is advantageous.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Project Manager to support a large-scale business transformation programme focused on modernising business processes and systems.

In this role, you will take ownership of project planning, budget management and financial follow-up, ensuring that projects remain on track in terms of scope, timelines, costs and expected outcomes.

You will work closely with programme leadership, sponsors, management and cross-functional business teams to monitor project progress, manage financial resources and provide clear insights to support informed decision-making.

We are looking for someone who combines strong project management skills with a genuine interest in budget management, financial analysis and performance monitoring. Experience with project management methodologies and governance frameworks is an asset.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor project budgets, financial forecasts and resource allocation.
• Track project expenditure, analyse budget variances and proactively identify potential risks or deviations.
• Monitor project progress against agreed scope, timelines, budgets and objectives.
• Prepare and maintain project reports, dashboards and management information.
• Provide clear financial and operational updates to programme leadership, stakeholders and steering committees.
• Support the development and evaluation of business cases, including cost-benefit analyses and expected return on investment (ROI).
• Monitor key project performance indicators (KPIs) and follow up on expected business benefits.
• Identify opportunities to optimise project costs, improve efficiency and enhance project performance.
• Ensure appropriate project governance, reporting and follow-up throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with business, finance, IT and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
• Proactively identify issues, propose corrective actions and support decision-making to keep the programme on track.

Your Profile

• A bachelor's or master's degree in Business Administration, Business Engineering, Finance, Economics, Project Management or a related field.
• Several years of experience in project management, project coordination, PMO, project controlling or a similar role involving budget and project performance monitoring.
• A strong interest in, and preferably hands-on experience with, project budget management, financial forecasting and cost control.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate financial and operational data into actionable insights.
• Experience with project management methodologies or frameworks, such as PRINCE2, PMI/PMP or Agile, is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with reporting tools such as Power BI is a plus.
• Experience with SAP or SAP S/4HANA is an advantage.
• A structured, proactive and results-oriented mindset, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
• A pragmatic approach, with the ability to balance financial discipline with overall project objectives.
• A good working knowledge of both Dutch and English.
