Group-IPS seeks an experienced Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager to lead CAPEX packages and full-project management for industrial facilities. You will plan, execute, and monitor projects across Belgium and Europe, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

Requirements include a Master’s in engineering, 15+ years of experience (8+ as PM), and fluent English/French. PMP is valued; Dutch is a plus. Permanent contract in an international environment with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's + Master’s degree in engineering is required.
• Minimum 15 years of professional experience, with at least 8 years as a Project Manager for medium/large CAPEX industrial projects.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; proficient in project management methodologies and tools.
• Fluent in English and French; Dutch is an asset.

Job Description

We are looking for highly skilled engineers with experience in the management of CAPEX projects to expand our teams in Nivelles and Mechelen. Depending on your relevant professional experience, you will be responsible as a Senior Project Engineer for packages, or as a Project Manager for the entire project.

Your Scope Of Responsibilities

• Project Planning and Strategy:
• Define project objectives, scope, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including work breakdown structure, resource allocation, and project scheduling.
• Formulate project strategies, risk management plans, and contingency measures.
• Define and organize internal staff planning
• Project Execution and Monitoring:
• Coordinate project activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, timelines, and budget.
• Manage and lead project teams, providing guidance, support, and motivation.
• Monitor project progress, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Conduct regular project status meetings, prepare progress reports, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Stakeholder Management:
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to establish clear project communication channels.
• Facilitate effective communication and manage expectations among team members, contractors, vendors, and clients.
• Resolve conflicts and address issues arising during the project lifecycle.
• Ensure alignment of project objectives with stakeholders' needs and requirements.
• Budgeting and Cost Control:
• Develop project budgets, considering resource requirements, procurement, and contingency planning.
• Monitor project expenses, track costs, and implement measures to control and optimize expenditures.
• Review and approve invoices, change orders, and payment requests in accordance with project guidelines.
• Overlooking the profitability of Group IPS within the project and organize required scope changes.
• Quality Assurance and Safety Compliance:
• Establish quality standards, inspection procedures, and quality control measures.
• Monitor project deliverables to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
• Implement and enforce safety policies, conduct safety audits, and promote a culture of safety among team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's + Master’s degree in engineering
• A minimum of 15 years of professional experience of which at least 8 years of proven experience as a Project Manager, specifically overseeing medium/ large CAPEX industrial projects in any Primary and Metals, Chemicals, Life Science and Food & Beverages
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Sound knowledge of engineering principles, construction practices, and industrial standards.
• Flexible for travelling within Belgium and Europe- up to average of 60%.
• Ability to manage multiple sub-projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in project management software and tools.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and permits related to industrial projects.
• Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is strongly appreciated.
• Fluent in English and French. Dutch is an asset.
