Automation is seeking a Project Manager for its Datacenter Facilities unit to deliver end-to-end data center projects, including contract review, engineering, procurement, production, installation and handover. You will manage customer relationships as the primary contact and coordinate across multiple internal teams to ensure successful delivery.

The ideal candidate has a master’s degree in Engineering and 5–10+ years of experience in industrial, international settings, with strong PM skills

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering (civil, electrical, electronics, mechanical).
• 5–10+ years of experience managing customer-facing projects in industrial, international environments.
• Knowledge of PM methodologies; PMP/Prince2 is a plus.
• Strong technical understanding of mechanical, electrical and/or control systems.

Due to our continued growth, we are looking for a Project Manager for our Datacenter Facilities business unit to strengthen our team. Always wanted to work on a project for CERN, but is Geneva just too far? Then read on, it's closer than you think!

Your responsabilities:

• As Project Manager you are accountable for delivering Automation’s prefabricated data center solutions from customer order through installation, commissioning, and acceptance on site

• You manage customer relationships as its single point of contact in the company and you act as interface between your customer and internal departments such as Engineering, Supply Chain, Production, Service, etc.

• You lead and animate a Project Team composed of Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, Production, and Service representative to ensure the project is delivered within quality, time and budget to a satisfied customer.

Your main tasks:

• Review technical and commercial offer content to ensure feasibility and alignment with project execution needs

• Lead the full project lifecycle: from contract review, through engineering, procurement, production, installation, commissioning and handover to Service

• Coordinate activities between sales, engineering, supply chain, production, and installation teams.

• Review and challenge technical documents to ensure feasibility, quality, and alignment with customer requirements.

• Maintain regular communication with customers, internal stakeholders, and third parties (contractors, suppliers).

• Organize and run project status meetings, steering committee meetings, and escalation meetings as required.

• Ensure deliverables comply with Automation’s engineering standards and customer contractual requirements.

• Monitor project financials, including actuals, cost-to-complete, invoicing and margin.

• Actively participate to the creation and improvement of Project Management standards, tools and processes

You are:

• In possession of a master's degree in Engineering (civilengineer electricity / electronics / mechanical)

• You have 5–10+ years of experience managing customer-facing projects in an industrial, international and multicultural environment

• An excellent knowledge of Project Management methodologies, PMP/Prince2 certification is a plus

• You have a strong technical understanding (mechanical, electrical, and/or control systems) and willingness to always update it

• You are able to challenge designs, and verify execution

• Budgeting, forecasting and cost control hold no secrets for you

• You describe yourself as customer oriented with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills (including C-level exposure)

• You have a problem-solving mindset, are autonomous, proactive & hands‑on

• You are fluent in English and Dutch, French is a plus

• You are willing to travel (+/-10 % of your time)
