Akkodis in Belgium is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead industrial installation projects across their full lifecycle, from feasibility through handover and support. You will coordinate multiple stakeholders, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

You will drive continuous improvement, support pre-project business development, and act as the interface between operations, engineering, suppliers, and customers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electromechanical, Chemical, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing engineering or industrial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of PM methodologies and engineering practices.
  • Experience in industrial installations, manufacturing, or utilities.
  • Understanding of industrial equipment, maintenance principles, and processes.
  • Experience coordinating internal teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong planning, budgeting, and risk management capabilities.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and industrial compliance.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset with leadership abilities.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.

Responsabilités

  • Managing change requests and ensuring proper stakeholder communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Supervising commissioning and start-up activities and ensuring successful project handover.
  • Supporting operational teams during the lifecycle of installed assets, including modifications and audits.
  • Promoting continuous improvement initiatives across projects.

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager for one of our key industrial clients.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing industrial installation projects throughout their full lifecycle, from feasibility and design phases through execution, commissioning, handover, and operational support. You will coordinate multiple stakeholders, manage project budgets and schedules, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

You will play a key role in delivering technical projects within a complex industrial environment while supporting continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Managing industrial installation projects from concept through commissioning and handover.
  • Supporting business development and technical proposal activities during the pre‑project phase.
  • Defining project scope, technical requirements, planning, budget, and resource needs.
  • Coordinating engineering studies, technical specifications, and procurement activities.
  • Managing supplier selection processes, RFQs, and contractor follow‑up.
  • Leading project execution while monitoring costs, risks, timelines, quality, and safety.
  • Obtaining permits and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Acting as the key interface between operations, engineering teams, suppliers, contractors, and customers.
  • Managing change requests and ensuring proper stakeholder communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Supervising commissioning and start‑up activities and ensuring successful project handover.
  • Supporting operational teams during the lifecycle of installed assets, including modifications, upgrades, audits, and compliance assessments.
  • Promoting continuous improvement initiatives and sharing lessons learned across projects.
Your Profile
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electromechanical, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing engineering or industrial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and engineering practices.
  • Experience working within industrial installations, manufacturing, process industry, utilities, or related environments.
  • Understanding of industrial equipment, maintenance principles, and technical processes.
  • Experience coordinating internal teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong planning, budgeting, and risk management capabilities.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and industrial compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Team‑oriented mindset combined with strong leadership abilities.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally depending on project requirements.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
