Sabena Engineering in Brussels is looking for a highly skilled aviation maintenance professional to manage daily micro-planning and ensure project milestones are met. You will work closely with team leaders and Project Managers to optimize resources and solve issues within the team.

Ideal candidates will have an engineering degree, at least 8 years of aircraft maintenance experience, and strong leadership skills. The role includes a competitive package and opportunities for skill development.

Your Main Responsibilities:

• Report to the Base Maintenance Manager and manage daily micro‑planning to ensure on‑schedule progress and achievement of major project milestones.
• Set shift objectives with team leaders, assign priorities and tasks, coordinate execution, monitor progress, and initiate corrective actions when required.
• Anticipate operational needs for upcoming shifts, ensure teams can continue working efficiently, and work with team leaders and technicians to minimize waste.
• Contribute to macro‑planning with the Project Manager and ensure effective implementation; optimize the use of available skills and resources.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager, Base Maintenance Manager and Manpower Planning to define staffing and equipment needs, report skill gaps, identify training requirements, and reduce critical‑path duration.
• Prepare NRCs, improve related processes, and ensure timely, complete and compliant closure of task cards and NRCs with team leaders.
• Support team leaders and technicians in solving complex issues; coach, motivate, inform, train and guide team leaders within the scope of responsibility.
• Oversee attendance, performance and productivity; assist team leaders with disciplinary matters and elevate issues appropriately.
• Lead by example, ensure responsibilities and objectives of direct reports are clear and respected, intervene promptly when deviations occur, and provide continuous feedback.
• Ensure end‑of‑shift housekeeping, proper return of tooling, and compliant storage of personal tools.
• Foster a work environment based on trust, open communication and constructive problem‑solving; conduct yearly evaluations and act as back‑up for shift team leaders and other Project Coordinators.
• Uphold uncompromising safety and quality standards, encourage field feedback, ensure compliance with regulations, support audits, and contribute to resolving findings and implementing corrective actions.

Your Profile :

• Engineering degree in aviation maintenance or equivalent through experience.
• Minimum 8 years experience in aircraft maintenance.
• Solution oriented, stress resistant.
• Leadership; team player; able to manage large groups of people; able to analyse, to synthesize, to prioritise; excellent communicator.
• Customer oriented and service sensitivity.
• Language skills (English and French and or Dutch).
• IT skills (Microsoft Office).
