Puratos in Groot-Bijgaarden is seeking a Production Planner to translate customer demand into an optimized plan. You will balance service level with cost and constraints, acting as the central link between production, supply chain, and customer service to ensure materials and capacity align with commitments.

You will build weekly and daily production plans, analyze orders and material availability, and adjust plans to manage disruptions in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in production planning or a related role.
• Highly analytical with comfort working with data and translating complexity into actions.
• Resilient under pressure and adaptable to frequent changes.
• Confident communicator; can manage stakeholders across functions.
• Fluent in English; good working knowledge of Dutch and French.

Production Planner

Mission

As a Production Planner, you play a key role in ensuring a smooth and efficient production flow across multiple production lines.

You are responsible for translating customer demand into an optimized production plan that balances service level, cost efficiency, and operational constraints.

Acting as a central connector between production, supply chain, and customer service, you ensure materials and capacity are aligned to deliver on commitments.

You contribute actively to operational excellence by continuously improving planning processes and proactively managing disruptions. Your work directly impacts customer satisfaction and overall plant performance.

Key Accountabilities

• You will build and maintain weekly and daily production plans for assigned production lines, ensuring timely delivery and optimal efficiency.
• You will analyze incoming orders, raw material availability, and capacity constraints to create feasible and optimized schedules.
• You will monitor and adjust the production plan continuously to manage changes, disruptions, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• You will collaborate closely with production, customer service, procurement, and warehouse teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution.
• You will manage and communicate backorders, delays, and risks proactively, providing clear justifications and solutions.
• You will ensure accuracy of planning data and systems (ERP/APO/MES) and follow up on master data quality.
• You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, challenging existing processes and driving operational excellence.

Who are we looking for?

• You have several years of experience in production planning, supply chain, or a related role.
• You are highly analytical, comfortable working with data, and able to translate complexity into clear actions.
• You thrive in a dynamic environment and are resilient under pressure, able to adapt quickly to frequent changes.
• You communicate confidently and can manage stakeholders across different functions, including delivering difficult messages when needed.
• You are a team player with a proactive mindset, willing to take ownership and challenge the status quo.
• You have good knowledge of Excel and are familiar with ERP/planning systems (SAP APO or similar is a plus).
• You are fluent in English and have a good working knowledge of Dutch and French.
