Arcadis in Belgium is seeking a Production Engineer to act as the primary technical contact in our production department, ensuring efficient and compliant manufacturing operations.

You will identify bottlenecks, support breakdown investigations, document root causes, and implement changes on equipment. You’ll assist start-ups, support validation activities, and collaborate with operators and supervisors. Dutch and English fluency is required, with some shift-work flexibility.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in engineering fields such as industrial, civil, or bio-engineering, or an (industrial) pharmacist degree, or equivalent experience.
• Perfect command of both Dutch and English.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills; structured and independent work approach.
• Experience in a GMP environment with strong technical writing ability.
• Some projects may require flexibility for shift work (early, late).

As a Production Engineer you will act as the primary technical point of contact within a production department, focusing on ensuring efficient and compliant manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities:

• Identifying, analyzing, and eliminating bottlenecks and efficiency losses
• Assisting and coordinating activities related to technical breakdowns, carrying out and documenting root cause investigations in the event of quality deviations, and implementing minor and major changes to existing equipment within set deadlines
• Provide daily technical support for processes, potentially including specific formulation processes like Covid vaccine production
• Functioning as a technical expert for production equipment and offer qualitative solutions to issues in close cooperation with production operators and supervisors
• Supporting the start-up of new production lines and related operational troubleshooting, as well as providing support for validation activities

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in relevant engineering fields such as industrial, civil, or bio-engineering, or an (industrial) pharmacist degree, or equivalent experience
• Perfect command of both Dutch and English
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a structured, accurate, and independently organized approach to work
• Experience in a GMP environment is crucial, along with a strong technical writing ability and interest in technology
• Some projects may also require flexibility for shift work (early, late)
