Role Definition

Within your scope of work, you will be responsible for assisting our subcontractor in identifying and resolving technical issues during machine preparation. You will also collaborate with the quality team to communicate findings to our internal and external partners. Additionally, you will be in charge of tracking production KPIs.

Location

Zeebrugge, Koggenstraat, Belgium. Occasional travel (up to 5% of the time) to our factories in France, India, or the U.S. may be required.

Technical Operations

• Technical Troubleshooting: Support subcontractors in identifying and resolving technical issues during machine preparation.
• Global Connection: Act as the primary bridge between factory engineers, subcontractors, and the after-sales departments.
• Engineering Interface: Serve as the designated point of contact for Manitou engineering teams worldwide.
• Technical Oversight: Manage the technical follow‑up and compliance of all new machine arrivals and update machine software.
• IT Operations: Close manufacturing orders with our ERP, audit I‑Checklists, and use the ERP tool.

Production Operations

• Documentation Management: Provide the necessary options documentation for machine customization.
• Project Innovation: Support the definition and creation of Light/Heavy machine options.
• Production Monitoring: Oversee machine production volumes to ensure targets are met.
• Storage Oversight: Manage storage activities, including exercising protocols and space analysis.
• Partner Collaboration: Act as the primary technical bridge with our storage partner.

Quality & Compliance

• Customer Satisfaction: Engage in quality follow‑up meetings with production facilities and spearhead transversal corrective actions when required.
• Compliance Leadership: Coordinate safety and quality campaigns with manufacturing plants to guarantee total machine conformity.

Project Leadership & Capitalisation

• Champion MILE quality and service standards during the development of new projects, including Compact, Earth Moving, and Aerial Work Platform machinery.
• Strategic Review: Actively engage in design reviews and diverse project committees as the technical voice of the Distribution Center.

Communication & Development

• Talent Development: Champion onboarding and technical training for new team members and subcontracting partners.
• Operational Analysis: Coordinate the preparation of production documentation and provide rigorous tracking of performance KPIs.
• Quality Leadership: Act as the primary quality supervisor for all site activities while maintaining seamless collaboration with colleagues.
• Strategic Communication: Serve as the technical link to the Perwez administrative team, relaying critical data on recurring anomalies and technical findings.

Environment & Safety

• Apply safety and environmental instructions.
• Report risks in the work environment.

Miscellaneous

• Create, maintain, or update the ISO procedure for the Operations.
• Monitor physical stock levels in our warehouse.

Language Skills

• Dutch: Necessary for daily activities.
• English: Necessary for communication with the factory.
• French: A major plus.
