Westinghouse Electric Company LLC in Belgium is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to join the bolt replacement and special products team in ELA, located in Nivelles.

You will contribute to the development of specialized, often remotely operated, equipment used for repair processes on nuclear power plant components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronic.
• 3+ years of experience in development, design and testing of specialized electromechanical equipment.
• German language proficiency (C2) required.
• English language proficiency (min. B1/B2) required.

Responsabilités

• Develop concepts for equipment and processes used for repairing important nuclear power plant components.
• Work with the design engineers to make the concepts a reality.
• Support the development, testing, and qualification of new equipment, including participation in customer reviews and on-site activities.
• Lead on-site teams as site-lead when experienced with the product in depth.

About the role:

As a Senior Product Engineer, you will join our bolt replacement and special products team in ELA, contributing to the development of specialized, often remotely operated, equipment used for repair processes on nuclear power plant components.

You will participate in the full lifecycle of innovative tools and systems—from concept design through testing, qualification, and field deployment and product maintenance and improvement.

You will report to the Manager NDE and Special Products and be located at Nivelles.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop of concepts for equipment and processes used for repairing important nuclear power plant components.
• Work with the design engineers to make the concepts a reality.

Work with the Technical Lead of the bolt product, to acquire the knowledge needed.

• Support the development, testing, and qualification of new equipment, including participation in customer reviews and on-site activities.
• Contribute to FOAK (First-Of-A-Kind) projects and guide products from prototype.
• Prepare comprehensive project documentation such as Work Instructions, Development Programs, Test Reports, and Bills of Materials.
• Lead teams of technicians and engineer on-site (site-lead) when experience has been acquired on the product in depth to lead the teams technically on site.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering orMechatronic.
• 3+ years of experience in development, design and testing of specialized electromechanical equipment.
• German in speaking and writing (mother tongue or C2-Level) - required.
• English in speaking and writing (min. B1, B2 preferred) - required.
