Westinghouse Electric Belgium is seeking a Component Structural Analyst Engineer II to join a team that supports nuclear power plant structural mechanics, including design reviews, factory follow-up, and plant modifications. The role is full-time and based in Nivelles with hybrid work options.

Candidates should have a Master's in mechanical engineering, 5+ years of experience, and fluency in English and French. ANSYS APDL/Workbench experience is required, and relocation to Belgium is considered.

Qualifications

• Interest in the nuclear industry.
• Fluent in English.
• Fluent in French; Dutch is valued.

About The Role

As a Component Structural Analyst Engineer II, you will be part of a group that provides many services within the framework of the discipline of structural mechanics. These services include design activities, factory/workshop follow-up, and support to nuclear power plant modifications or refueling outage, among other tasks. This is a full-time job. You will report to the CSA Manager and be located at Nivelles. This is a hybrid position.

Main Responsibilities

• Perform manual calculations and finite element analysis calculations in ANSYS to verify the qualification of nuclear power plant components to the appropriate standards.
• Document analyses in English and French.
• Propose integrated solutions to technical challenges that may arise during projects.
• Participate in international project teams and communicate with relevant parties.
• Ability to travel to the nuclear site to support field interventions or customer meetings.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in mechanical engineering.
• 5+ years of experience.
• Interested in mechanical component stress analysis, finite element analysis software for structural analysis.
• Interested in the nuclear industry.
• Fluent in English.
