Westinghouse Electric Company LLC in Belgium is seeking an AP1000 Principal Project Engineer to lead international AP1000 new build opportunities and strategic growth initiatives. Responsabilités

• Project Engineering & Technical Leadership: assess customer requests, coordinate activities, drive engineering commitments, support managers and leads.
• Technical Integration & Engineering Coordination: compile and report technical information, ensure consistency, enable decision-making and planning.
• Business Development & Proposal Support: assist in future bid activities, develop technical solutions, participate in customer discussions and workshops, support market development.
• Coaching & Mentoring: mentor engineers, promote best practices, develop engineering capability.

As an AP1000 Principal Project Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting international AP1000 new build opportunities and strategic growth initiatives.

Based in Nivelles, Belgium, you will join the AP Technology Deployment organization and work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams involved in the development, design, and deployment of AP1000 nuclear power plants worldwide.

This position offers a unique opportunity to expand your technical expertise across multiple engineering disciplines while developing as a technical leader within one of the most advanced reactor programs in the nuclear industry.

Key Responsibilities

Project Engineering & Technical Leadership

• Assess incoming customer requests and define appropriate technical response plans.
• Coordinate engineering activities and ensure alignment across multiple technical disciplines.
• Drive the delivery of engineering commitments in accordance with safety, quality, budget, and schedule requirements.
• Support Project Engineering Managers and Technical Leads in achieving project objectives.

Technical Integration & Engineering Coordination

• Compile and integrate technical information from different engineering disciplines into clear and concise reports.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and supporting functions to ensure technical consistency and project alignment.
• Facilitate communication between engineering organizations to support efficient decision‑making and issue resolution.
• Contribute to technical reviews and project planning activities.

Business Development & Proposal Support

• Support future bid and proposal activities for AP1000 opportunities across Europe and globally.
• Assist in developing technical solutions that respond to customer requirements and project objectives.
• Participate in customer discussions and technical workshops when required.
• Support market development and project capture activities.

Coaching & Mentoring

• Mentor, guide, and support less experienced engineers.
• Promote engineering best practices and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to the development of engineering capability within the organization.
