Qualifications

Description du poste

We are looking for a Product Researcher to join the Lab’s cross-functional research practice — a team whose role is to understand players before anyone else does. You will be the voice of the player in a team of data scientists, analysts and AI engineers: the person who connects what the numbers say with what players think, feel and need across their journeys.

Your work sits upstream of the roadmap. You are not here to validate what has already been decided on. You are here to surface what hasn't been seen yet, to reduce uncertainty before it costs money, and to make sure that every product-engineering area is building for real player needs rather than assumed ones.

YOUR ROLE
Player Research & Journey Understanding
  • Design and conduct qualitative and quantitative research throughout the product lifecycle — interviews, usability tests, surveys, tree tests and behavioral analysis
  • Map end-to-end player journeys across our brands and regulated markets — identifying friction points, unmet needs and opportunities that data alone cannot explain
  • Analyze and monitor key conversion journeys (registration, first deposit, recurring deposits, withdrawals, reactivation) by combining session-replay data, behavioral signals and direct player feedback.
  • Combine behavioral data, CSAT survey results and direct player input to build a holistic, continuously updated picture of the player experience
Cross-Lab Collaboration & Insight Delivery
  • Work closely with Data Analysts and Data Scientists to connect qualitative insight with quantitative evidence — you bring the "why" to their "what"
  • Translate research findings into clear, actionable recommendations for Product Managers, Designers and business stakeholders
  • Help teams prioritize initiatives according to player impact, business value and expected return
  • Present findings and facilitate workshops that align teams around player needs and opportunities
Research Practice & Enablement
  • Contribute to and maintain the shared research repository to make past findings discoverable and build a cumulative understanding of G1's players over time
  • Develop shared research methodologies, templates and reusable practices that raise the standard of player understanding across the organization
  • Support and coach Product and Design teams in research and testing methods
  • Contribute to research on responsible gaming and the detection of risky player behaviors
YOUR PROFILE
  • Typically, 5+ years of experience in UX Research, Product Research, Customer Experience, Service Design or a closely related field
  • Confident in both qualitative methods (interviews, usability testing, contextual inquiry) and quantitative approaches (surveys, funnel analysis, behavioral data)
  • Hands-on experience with behavioral analytics tools
  • Familiarity with CSAT, NPS or other voice-of-the-customer measurement frameworks, and experience turning survey data into structured insight programs
  • Able to structure ambiguous research questions, manage multiple topics simultaneously and deliver findings that are concise, understandable and immediately usable
  • Experience in digital products, gaming, entertainment, e-commerce or another regulated industry is a strong asset
  • Knowledge of experimentation, A/B testing or data product concepts is an asset
  • Professional proficiency in English; French is a strong asset
  • A degree in Psychology, Cognitive Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Design Research, Social Sciences or a related discipline — or equivalent practical experience
