Job summary

Pauwels Consulting is seeking a Product Owner Identity & Access Management for a temporary replacement within its IT organization. You will own the IAM portfolio, translate stakeholder needs into a clear roadmap, and drive delivery with the development team.

Minimum 2 years IAM experience, solid knowledge of identity and access management, and fluency in Dutch are required. Location is Bruges, hybrid: on-site Tuesdays and Thursdays, remote on other days; contract can be permanent or freelance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of IAM experience.
• Solid functional and technical knowledge of identity, authentication and access management.
• Experience with CIAM for external users and Workforce IAM for internal employees.
• Fluent in Dutch (NL).

• Take up Product Ownership within the IAM domain and define and develop solutions around identity, authentication and access management.
• Manage and prioritize the product backlog and translate stakeholder needs into features and user stories.
• Safeguard scope, timing and quality of deliveries with the development team.

Job description

Our client, a prominent organization in the HR services sector, is looking for a Product Owner Identity & Access Management for a temporary replacement within its IT organization. This role takes full ownership of a product portfolio with a strong focus on IAM, translating stakeholder needs into a clear roadmap and backlog and following up delivery together with the development team. IAM expertise is the key requirement: a strong IAM profile who can take ownership and grow into the Product Owner role is equally welcome.

• Take up Product Ownership within the IAM domain and further define and develop solutions around identity, authentication and access management.
• Manage and prioritize the product backlog, translating stakeholder needs into concrete features, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Safeguard the scope, timing and quality of deliveries in close collaboration with the development team.
• Align with IT and business stakeholders across the organization and bring different priorities together.
• Follow up the full lifecycle of the applications in the portfolio, including notification and email communication applications.
• Co-prioritize technical improvements and technical debt.
• Monitor product health and relevant KPIs.

• You have at least 2 years of relevant experience in Identity & Access Management.
• You possess solid functional and technical knowledge of identity, authentication and access management.
• You bring experience with both Customer IAM (CIAM) for external users and Workforce IAM for internal employees.
• You understand authentication and login flows well enough to discuss them in depth with technical profiles. Development or programming skills are not required.
• You have gained your IAM experience in a broad and complex environment.
• You take ownership and bring stakeholders and priorities together.
• You are fluent in Dutch.

Nice to Haves

• Experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role covering roadmap, backlog and stakeholder management.
• Experience with Ping Identity / ForgeRock.
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID.
• Experience with product or application ownership in a larger IT environment.
