Jonckheere Subcontracting NV in Belgium is seeking a Product Engineer to monitor projects from start to finish. You will act as a liaison between customers and various departments, ensuring that all customer needs are met effectively.

As a Product Engineer at JONCKHEERE subcontracting, you monitor projects from start to finish and act as a liaison between customers and our Production, Purchasing, Planning, Sales and Quality departments. You safeguard our products’ quality and technical aspects and ensure that all customer needs and requirements are addressed and resolved.

Responsibilities

• You will act as our customers’ ambassador within our company, responsible for accurately communicating their technical and quality requirements.
• You will provide the necessary resources and instructions to ensure that Production meets customers’ requirements.
• You will plan all the work in the SAP ERP package based on our Sales department’s calculations.
• You will manage all the drawings (revisions) for a project and, after making them production-ready, upload them to Windchill, our digital platform.
• You will provide other departments with technical support regarding ambiguities, or consult the customer to resolve the ambiguities first.
• In collaboration with the Production team leader and CAD department, you will provide technical input on the development of product-specific tools such as adhesive applicators and surfacing welding or lifting equipment.
• You will carry out accurate post-calculations to safeguard the profitability of projects.
• You draw up proposals for safety, quality and efficiency improvements.

Qualifications

• You have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• You know how to solve problems and do so in collaboration with your colleagues.
• You can read technical drawings and are structured in your work. You must be capable of maintaining an overview of the entire production process.
• You speak English fluently. Knowledge of French is preferred, but you will also receive support in improving your skills.
• You will be given room to work independently and show initiative within your role. This is reflected in your compensation.

During your first weeks, you will receive training on all our processes and the various work locations.

You will be given opportunities to develop through extensive internal and external training.

International Clients

Our company has three branches and works with clients from multiple countries. Your language skills will be put to good use. English is essential and French is preferred, but we will also support you in improving your skills.
