Be-Mobile, a European leader in smart mobility solutions, seeks a Product Engineer to own product domains and push AI-assisted software engineering. You will work full stack on our SaaS platform, translating city and municipal needs into scalable, maintainable solutions.

Be-Mobile is a European market leader in smart mobility solutions, headquartered in Ghent. We develop and sell technological solutions for parking, fines, electronic toll collection, multi-modal route planning and electronic fare collection.

To support our continued growth and new implementations, we are looking for a Product Engineer who combines strong full stack engineering skills with a product mindset and a strong passion for AI-assisted software engineering. We are looking for someone who actively explores how AI, automation and modern development workflows can improve the way software is designed, built and delivered.

In this role, you don’t just build software, you take ownership of a product domain and help shape solutions that are used in real-life environments by cities and municipalities.

Responsibilities

Be-Mobile is looking for a Product Engineer who will be in charge of:

• Own the end-to-end development of product features, from analysis and design to implementation, release and follow-up
• Act as the Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) for a product domain, taking ownership of technical decisions and product impact
• Work full stack on our software suite, contributing to both user-facing and operational applications
• Translate business and stakeholder needs into scalable and maintainable product solutions
• Challenge requirements and propose better alternatives when they introduce unnecessary complexity
• Collaborate closely with product, customer-facing teams and other engineers to deliver solutions that work in real municipal environments
• Actively experiment with AI-assisted development, automation and modern engineering workflows to improve delivery speed, quality and developer experience
• Help introduce and promote useful AI-driven engineering practices within the team

The must-haves we are looking for are:

• Strong experience as a full stack software engineer
• A product mindset: you focus on solving the right problem, not just implementing features
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to challenge requirements and assumptions
• Comfortable taking ownership of a product domain and communicating with stakeholders
• Experience with modern web application development in a SaaS or product-driven environment
• Familiarity with technologies such as Golang, Vue.js, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, MongoDB or Elasticsearch
• Strong interest in AI-assisted software engineering and modern development workflows
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development and a strong curiosity to actively explore new possibilities in software engineering
• Fluent in Dutch, with a good knowledge of English
• Higher degree or equivalent experience, combined with eagerness to keep learning
