DD Engineering seeks a Safety Engineer for a full-time on-site role in the Gent–Kortrijk area. You will assess processes for compliance with safety standards, develop safety concepts, and perform risk analyses to improve operations.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams and delivering safety training are key parts of the job. Required are a strong foundation in Safety Engineering, knowledge of process and machine safety, ATEX, and hazardous materials management, plus good English and ideally

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Safety Engineering including process and machine safety.
• Experience with ATEX, fire safety, and hazardous materials management.
• Knowledge of Occupational Health principles and workplace safety programs.
• Understanding of industrial security, access control, and emergency planning.
• Experience delivering safety training to diverse technical teams.
• Familiarity with Construction Safety standards and site supervision.

Responsabilités

• Perform site inspections and prepare safety reports.
• Develop and implement safety concepts and risk analyses.
• Support design reviews and technical audits for safety compliance.
• Deliver training and safety-related guidance to project teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on safety improvements.
