A progressive engineering company is seeking a Process Automation Engineer in Kalmthout, Belgium. This role offers the chance to lead projects, improve processes, and engage in an innovative environment focused on Industry 4.0. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree and 4 to 8 years' experience in automation, along with strong analytical skills and a passion for the field. Qualifications

• 4 to 8 years of experience in automation in the industry or as a consultant.
• Strong analytical and pragmatic skills.
• Language knowledge of English and/or French is an asset.

Responsabilités

• Determine technical concepts based on functional requirements.
• Lead projects independently, overseeing budgets and commissioning.
• Engage in process/methodology improvement based on projects.
• Own budget responsibility for tasks or projects.
• Take final responsibility for commissioning and handover.
• Drive process/methodology improvements within the project.
• Join or lead a project team with a consultative, team-focused approach.
• Work partly in the office and on-site with major industry players.
• Occasional abroad assignments depending on ambition.

Profile

• Master's degree in industrial sciences, engineering sciences or IT – possibly with specialization in automation.
• 4 to 8 years of experience in automation in the industry, internally or as a consultant.
• Ready for the next step in your career, more project, customer or technical responsibility is your goal.
• Analytically strong, pragmatic, initiator, no‑nonsense, team player.
• Flexible, accurate and passionate about automation and/or Industry 4.0.
• Language knowledge of English and/or French is an asset.
• Driving license B necessary.
