Jobtailor seeks an experienced Automation Engineer to drive end-to-end automation initiatives in Belgium’s manufacturing environments. You will own projects from concept through design, collaborating with engineering and operations to deliver validated, scalable solutions.

We value strong Lean process knowledge, analytical thinking, and the ability to translate operational needs into effective technical designs. Fluent English is required; Dutch is a plus.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Automation, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent through experience.
• 3+ years in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record delivering automation/engineering projects.
• Exposure to industrial automation systems and process improvement initiatives.
• Strong understanding of processes and analytical thinking.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Effective communicator with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Automation, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent through experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record in delivering automation and/or engineering projects.
• Strong exposure to industrial automation systems, process improvement initiatives, and multidisciplinary project environments.
• Strong process understanding and analytical thinking.
• Ability to translate business and operational needs into effective technical solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Effective communicator with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Structured, pragmatic, and solution-oriented mindset.
• Strong collaboration and coordination capabilities.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch is an advantage.
