Amaris Consulting in Sint-Truiden, Belgium, seeks a Powertrain Calibration/Controls Engineer with 4–8 years of experience to drive drivability and shift quality improvements across engine, motor, and transmission systems. You will calibrate using ETAS INCA and related tools, collaborate with global teams, and document findings for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electro-Mechanical, Automotive or Electronics Engineering.
• 4–8 years of experience as a powertrain calibration and/or controls engineer.
• Experience in drivability calibration and shift quality calibration.
• Knowledge of torque control and coordination; clutch control.
• Hands-on with ETAS INCA for calibration and measurement.
• Experience in transmission calibration and engine calibration; torque-related functions.
• Proficiency in block diagrams and model-based development (MATLAB/Simulink).
• Familiarity with calibration tools such as Vector CANape, AVL DRIVE, AVL CAMEO, AVL SPA, AVL CRETA.
• Ability to communicate in English (written and spoken).
• EU driving license and willingness to travel to Sint-Truiden.

Responsabilités

• Execute calibration work packages using dedicated equipment and established procedures.
• Define test plans to calibrate and validate eDCT/TCU functions under various conditions on test benches and vehicles.
• Analyze data to identify root causes and propose calibration improvements.
• Manage calibration datasets with proper documentation and traceability.
• Collaborate with engine calibration teams for coherent torque and shift coordination across powertrain.
• Work with cross-functional teams to align calibration strategies and share best practices.
• Prepare clear reports and presentations on test results and calibration status.
