Job summary

Elia Grid International seeks experienced professionals in Power System Operations and Security to support projects focusing on RES integration, energy balancing, and grid reliability across multiple regions. The role involves modeling, simulations, and analysis in collaboration with multinational teams.

You will contribute to steady-state and dynamic analyses, Grid Code compliance, and performance optimization while travelling abroad as needed.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering or Applied Mathematics/Physics.
• 2-10 years of experience in Power System Operations and Security (balancing and RES integration).
• Knowledge of power system simulation tools (PowerFactory, PSSE).
• Ability to translate complex data into strategic insights.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and define operational principles for power systems.
• Model definition and validation for grid operations.
• Conduct steady-state and dynamic stability analyses (load flow, short circuit, frequency).
• Assist with Grid Code requirements and connection studies.

Your function

EGI wishes to reinforce its team working onPower System Operations and Securityin the context of deep integration of renewable energy sources, Energy and Balancing Market Integration. To achieve this, we are looking forexperienced professionals with expertise in the field of transmission system operation. These experts will take part in local and international projects focusing on RES integration, security of supply, sustainability and economic efficiency of Power Systems.

Typical activities involve (but are not limited to):

• Analysis and definition of operational principles;
• Model definition and validation;
• Steady-state (load flow, short circuit calculations etc);
• Dynamic stability analysis (frequency, voltage stability..);
• Grid Code requirement and connection compliance studies

Your responsibilities will be decided based on your competencies and expertise and will be discussed during your interviews with managers.

Your profile

• Master's degree in Engineering or Applied Mathematics/Physics;
• 2-10 years of experience in Power System Operations and Security (balancing and RES system integration, system operation and state-of-the-art technological solutions);
• Knowledge of power system simulation tools (PowerFactory, PSSE);
• Expertise in translating complex data into key strategic insights and valuable actions;
• Fluent in English;
• Knowledge of German, Dutch and/or French is a strong asset.

Location
