Job summary

Rhox in Brussels, Belgium, is seeking a PostgreSQL Database Administrator to design and maintain secure, reliable databases. You will combine database operations with Python backend development and data integration to support mission-critical applications.

You'll work with Linux, REST services, and modern DevOps tools to ensure backups, performance tuning, and scalable data architectures across on-premise and cloud-like setups. English at B2; Dutch or French to be helpful.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in IT or equivalent.
• Strong DB admin, backend dev, and data integration experience.
• Proficient in Linux and REST web services.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift.
• Elastic Stack for monitoring and logging.
• Experience with NoSQL, key-value, document and vector databases.
• Methodical, autonomous, proactive and collaborative.
• Fluent Dutch or French with passive understanding of the other.
• English at least B2.

Responsibilities

• Maintain PostgreSQL backups, restores, monitoring and performance tuning.
• Design database structures and data synchronisation mechanisms.
• Integrate Python backends with PostgreSQL.
• Build and manage GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Support development projects with tailored database solutions.
• Define technical standards and document database procedures.
