Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking a Postdoctoral Scientist – AI/ML to join the Data, Data Science & Artificial Intelligence (DDSAI) organization for a two-year fixed-term position. In this role, you will advance cutting-edge AI/ML approaches, biological sequence modeling, and generative AI technologies to address critical challenges in drug discovery and therapeutic design.

This position can be based in Beerse, Belgium; Madrid, Spain; Cambridge, MA; Spring House, PA.

Qualifications

• PhD completed or to be completed within 6 months in a quantitative field.
• Strong publication record in AI/ML conferences/journals.
• Experience with sequence modeling and foundation models is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Conceive, develop, and validate AI/ML approaches for drug discovery and design.
• Design foundation and deep generative models for biological sequences.
• Establish lab-in-the-loop workflows integrating AI with wet-lab validation.
• Analyze large biological datasets to generate insights and hypotheses.
• Collaborate with computational biology, ML, and experimental teams.
• Communicate results clearly to stakeholders and maintain code repositories.
• Draft manuscripts and disseminate findings in venues and internal channels.
