EHMA is seeking a Policy Manager to lead high-quality policy and research activities across Europe. You will monitor policy developments, conduct research, and translate evidence into influential policy outputs.
You will manage EU-funded and private projects, engage with members and stakeholders, and contribute to EHMA’s policy networks and events. The role requires travel across Europe and collaboration within a multi-department team.
Salary: €3,200 - €3,800 gross per month. A benefits package is also provided.

The European Health Management Association (EHMA) is the only membership association in Europe that brings together the full health ecosystem of health managers, informal and formal caregivers, patients, legislators, educators, policy makers and regulators, public health experts, researchers, health insurance experts, and industry. To build excellence in health management we lead initiatives including research projects, working groups, policy and communication campaigns, and events. We are organised in three departments: Policy & Research, Communications, and Operations. The Senior Management and the Management teams provide leadership and support to all departments.
EHMA is looking for a Policy Manager to lead high-quality policy and research activities that support effective health management across Europe. The Policy Manager will combine policy analysis, research, project delivery and stakeholder engagement to ensure that EHMA contributes credible evidence and a strong health management perspective to European policy discussions.
The Policy Manager will monitor and analyse European policy developments and relevant policy files, assess their implications for health management, and identify opportunities for EHMA to inform and influence policy. They will conduct and oversee policy research, develop evidence-based recommendations, engage EHMA members and stakeholders, and translate evidence into impactful policy outputs and activities.
The Policy Manager will also lead the substantive delivery of a portfolio of EU-funded and privately funded projects and contribute policy expertise across EHMA’s wider activities, including conferences, events, working groups and policy networks.
The Policy Manager will report to the Director of Policy and Research and will manage one Policy Officer.

Previous experience managing staff, working in a European or international policy environment, working on EU-funded projects, and knowledge of additional European languages would be an advantage.

This position is offered according to Belgian national legislation. It is an offer for a full-time position of 38 hours per week with an open-end contract.
For this position, the monthly gross salary ranges between €3,200 and €3,800 depending on experience and qualifications. A benefits package is provided, including meal vouchers of €8 per day worked, up to €50/month for phone reimbursement, public transport reimbursement, complementary pension plan, hospitalisation insurance including ambulatory and dental care, 13th month, and five days of paid extra-legal holidays over the Christmas period.
The post will combine in-office and remote work, as well as occasional travel. The successful candidate will be supplied with the necessary materials to work remotely, as required.
