Speechify is seeking a Platform-focused Software Engineer for a Brussels-based role in a fully distributed setup. You will design, implement, and maintain backend services—payments, analytics, subscriptions, and TTS integrations—while aligning with product strategy and user experience.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve scalability, performance, and availability, shaping API design and platform architecture for enterprise clients.

Qualifications

• Experience with GCP and familiarity with AWS or Azure.
• Ability to prioritize tasks by impact and urgency.
• Experience deploying high-availability applications.
• Strong API design and backend service experience.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including public TTS API, internal APIs like Payment, Subscription, Auth and Usage Tracking.
• Oversee the full backend API landscape, optimizing performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate on B2B solutions for enterprise clients.
• Work with cross-functional teams to align backend with product strategy and UX.
