Job summary

Pauwels Consulting seeks an expert to define and maintain the coherence of the client’s network and security architectures in Brussels. You will lead architectural design, ensure alignment with NIS2 and corporate transformation goals, and act as a technical reference for build and run teams while guiding strategic initiatives.

The role requires 8+ years in network architecture with IP routing, switching, MPLS, HSRP/VRRP, WiFi, Cisco ACI, ExpressRoute, Netskope, and 5+ years in Palo Alto

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in network architecture and related technologies.
• 8+ years of defining roadmaps and reference architectures.
• 5+ years of experience with Palo Alto Firewalls, WAF, VPN, and Proxy technologies.
• 3+ years of scripting for network tasks.
• Fluency in English; native or bilingual in Dutch or French preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define the technological roadmap and reference architectures for network and security platforms.
• Ensure architectural compliance with security requirements and NIS2 regulations.
• Lead technical design for strategic projects with High-Level and Low-Level Designs.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and rationalize the IT landscape.
• Act as technical reference for build and run teams and facilitate knowledge transfer.
