Job summary

Keysight Technologies is offering a six-week Software Engineering Internship in Summer 2027 focused on Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC) design automation. You will contribute to EPDA initiatives, developing advanced photonic design software and CAD/CAE tools.

The role supports development, validation, and optimization of PIC design workflows, with opportunities to learn and collaborate within a team of engineers.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Photonics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Programming experience with Python or C++.
• Basic understanding of photonics, electronics, and engineering principles.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and software tools.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Development of software solutions for Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC) design automation.
• Validation and verification of PIC designs.
• Design, simulation, and analysis workflows for photonic device systems.
• Establishment and improvement of PIC design flows.
• Development of next-generation photonic CAD/CAE applications.
