Lesico Process Piping is building out its Belgian operations, and we’re looking for someone versatile, sharp and genuinely curious to own the people side of that growth. This is a role for someone who doesn’t wait to be told what’s next — who spots what the organization needs, learns it fast, and makes it happen.
You’ll split your time between our Mechelen operation and our project site at imec in Leuven, becoming the trusted go-to person for everything from HR administration and payroll coordination to employee welfare and benefits. It’s a broad, hands-on mandate — ideal for someone who wants real ownership and room to grow into it.
This position is not recruitment-focused. The focus is on making sure our Belgian employees are well supported, well informed, and well looked after — and that our HR administration is accurate, compliant and effortlessly organized.
This role is available full-time or at 70%, so we can shape it around the right candidate.
What You’ll Own
HR Administration
- Manage employee files, employment contracts, amendments and HR documentation end-to-end.
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding, making every transition smooth and professional.
- Maintain accurate employee, absence, leave and working-time records.
- Coordinate payroll inputs with our external payroll and social secretariat.
- Handle Dimona declarations and other required Belgian employment administration.
- Track expiry dates for contracts, permits, certificates and personnel documentation — nothing slips through the cracks.
- Support administration for foreign employees working in Belgium where applicable.
- Keep all HR documentation aligned with Belgian labour legislation and company procedures.
Employee Welfare & Benefits
- Own employee welfare and the overall employee experience end-to-end — the human side of HR, not just the paperwork.
- Administer and coordinate employee benefits (insurance, meal vouchers, allowances and similar schemes) and act as the point of contact for questions.
- Support employees through sickness, occupational accidents, holidays and other personal matters with care and discretion.
- Champion wellbeing initiatives that make Lesico a genuinely good place to work.
- Liaise with insurers, benefits providers and occupational health services on the employees’ behalf.
Employee & Project Support
- Be the first point of contact for HR and welfare matters for employees working in Belgium.
- Support the Project Director with personnel-related administration and reporting.
- Help employees navigate payroll, leave, benefits, documentation and company procedures.
- Bridge communication between the project site, the Belgian operation, the payroll provider and Lesico management.
- Support compliance with site-specific personnel and contractor requirements at imec.
General Administration
- Support the Project Director with day-to-day administrative needs.
- Keep digital and physical personnel records organized and audit-ready.
- Prepare HR reports, employee overviews and supporting documentation.
- Liaise with external providers, authorities and professional advisers as needed.
- Take care of day-to-day office and warehouse needs — supplies, facilities, vendors and the practical things that keep operations running smoothly.
- Represent Lesico with local municipalities, government offices and other bodies, and confidently navigate local bureaucracy and administrative procedures on the company’s behalf.
- Pitch in on general office and project administration — no task too small.
Who You Are
- Experienced in HR administration or personnel administration in Belgium; exposure to payroll support is a plus, not a must.
- Solid working knowledge of Belgian labour and social legislation.
- Familiar with Belgian payroll administration, social secretariats, Dimona and employee documentation.
- A naturally curious, resourceful problem‑solver who’s motivated to keep learning and take on new responsibilities.
- Comfortable wearing many hats and figuring things out — you don’t need a playbook for everything.
- Excellent organizational skills and sharp attention to detail.
- Practical, hands‑on and confident working independently.
- At ease in a fast‑moving, evolving project environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with genuine empathy for colleagues from different nationalities and backgrounds.
- Experience in construction, engineering, industrial projects or with an international workforce is a strong plus.
- Fluent English is mandatory; good command of Dutch is required; French is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
What We Offer
- A competitive salary that reflects your experience, plus an encouraging, above‑market benefits package.
- Flexibility to work full‑time or at 70%, depending on what suits you best.
- Real ownership from day one, with genuine room to grow into a bigger role as you prove yourself.
- A dynamic, international project environment where no two days look the same.
Why This Role
This is a role that will grow as you do. You’ll have real ownership over HR administration, employee welfare and benefits — with the trust and space to bring new ideas, improve how things are done, and expand your remit as you prove yourself. If you’re someone who thrives on variety, takes initiative, and wants a role where your curiosity and drive are actually rewarded, we’d love to hear from you.
