Job summary

JGA Recruitment Group | B Corp™ is looking for a Payroll Specialist Lead to own Belgian payroll operations in a fully remote role. You will manage end-to-end Belgian payroll and ensure compliance with local legislation while collaborating with international teams.

You have 5+ years Belgian payroll experience, strong knowledge of payroll legislation, and fluency in English plus Dutch or French. Familiarity with EasyPay and Excel is a plus.

• 5+ years hands-on Belgian payroll experience.
• In-depth knowledge of Belgian payroll legislation and social security.
• Experience processing payroll end-to-end, preferably in-house.
• Fluency in English and Dutch or French (written and spoken).
• Experience with EasyPay payroll software and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage full end-to-end Belgian payroll processing.
• Oversee statutory filings, social security contributions, tax requirements and payroll payments.
• Act as SME for Belgian payroll and guide internal stakeholders.
• Maintain payroll reconciliations, journals and reporting.
• Identify and implement process improvements for payroll controls and efficiency.
• Collaborate with international payroll, finance and implementation teams.
• Support and mentor other payroll specialists.

This role is ideal for someone with strong end-to-end Belgian payroll experience who understands local legislation, enjoys improving processes and wants to work alongside international payroll teams.

What you'll be doing

• Manage full end-to-end Belgian payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local legislation.
• Oversee statutory filings, social security contributions, tax requirements and payroll payments.
• Act as the subject matter expert for Belgian payroll, providing guidance to internal stakeholders.
• Manage payroll reconciliations, journals and reporting.
• Ensure payroll data integrity and maintain high standards of accuracy.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls and efficiency.
• Collaborate with international payroll, finance and implementation teams.
• Support and mentor other payroll specialists.

What you'll bring

• 5+ years of hands‑on, end-to‑end Belgian payroll experience.
• Strong knowledge of Belgian payroll legislation, employment regulations, taxation and social security requirements.
• Experience independently processing Belgian payroll from start to finish, ideally within an in‑house environment.
• Fluent in English and either Dutch or French, both written and spoken.
• Experience using EasyPay payroll software would be a significant advantage.
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with payroll systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage complex payroll requirements.
• A proactive approach to problem‑solving and continuous improvement.
• Comfortable working independently within a fast‑paced international environment.
