delaware BeLux is looking for a Payroll & Reward Specialist to join our HR team across Belgium and Luxembourg. You will manage payroll execution, run net salary simulations, and stay sharp on Belgian and Luxembourg tax and social legislation.

You’ll shape processes, improve tools, and participate in rewarding initiatives. A pragmatic, hands-on problem solver with strong Excel skills and experience with payroll systems is a fit. Fluent English and either Dutch or French complete the profile.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in payroll and/or compensation & benefits.
• Solid grip on payroll processing and net salary simulations.
• Familiar with payroll tools (eBlox, SD Worx) and Excel.
• Curious about processes, projects and market around payroll.
• Keen to evolve with AI in HR tooling and systems.
• Fluent in Dutch or French with very good English.

Numbers, accuracy and tight deadlines don't scare you off, quite the opposite. Payroll processing and net salary simulations are second nature to you, and you like to keep your knowledge of Belgian (and ideally Luxembourg) tax law and social legislation sharp and up to date.

But payroll execution alone isn't the whole story for you. You're curious about everything around payroll too: the processes that support it, the tools and systems that run it, and the trends in the market that could make our reward practices better. You don't wait to be asked twice when you spot something that could be improved.

You have a project mindset: comfortable running with something operational, but equally happy to help shape something more strategic. Pragmatic, hands-on, and analytical, as much at home in Excel as in a conversation with a stakeholder.

We are the delaware HR team: a close-knit group of about 36 HR professionals, spread across our offices in Kortrijk, Ghent, Antwerp, Lummen, Liège, Wavre and Luxembourg. With more than 1,600 colleagues in Belgium and Luxembourg alone, every one of them has different needs and expectations when it comes to HR, and they come to us with a broad variety of questions on compensation, tax, benefits and social security.

Add to that a steady stream of changing employment legislation, evolving reward practices, and the ongoing hunt for better tools and processes, and you get why we're looking for a Payroll & Reward Specialist who wants to grow beyond pure execution. You won't be doing this alone, you can count on the support of experienced HR colleagues.

what will you be doing?

• Prepare and execute payroll together with your colleagues, and act as a point of contact for payroll and reward questions, split payrolls, taxes, flex income, warrants, bonus plans and more.
• Safeguard data quality, and maintain and improve the tools, systems, interfaces and platforms that our payroll and reward processes run on.
• Take ownership of process improvements above and beyond individual payroll runs, spotting where things can run smoother, and turning that into action.
• Contribute to (and increasingly lead) payroll & reward projects, strategic or operational, from tooling upgrades to new comp & ben initiatives. Tell us what you're passionate about.
• Keep an eye on what's happening in the market: new legislation, new HR tech, and how our provider landscape (SD Worx, Vanbreda, AG Insurance, DKV, Alan, Pluxee, Skipr, and others) is evolving, and translate that into recommendations for the team.

Analyze reward data to help build and sustain a competitive reward strategy, and work closely with your payroll and reward colleagues, sharing what you know, and learning from them in turn.

• have around 4 to 6 years of experience in payroll and/or compensation & benefits, and are ready for a role between specialist and senior specialist level;
• have a solid grip on payroll processing and enjoy simulating net salaries, ideally with exposure to Belgian and/or Luxembourg tax and social legislation;
• are familiar with payroll tools (eBlox, SD Worx or similar) and comfortable in Excel, and keen to build further expertise in HR tooling and systems;
• are genuinely curious about process, projects and the market around payroll, not just the execution of it;
• thrive in a fast-paced environment with frequent change, keep your footing when things shift, and are curious about what AI can bring to the table.
• always strive for executional excellence, are pragmatic, good with numbers, and have a strong analytical mind;
• are fluent in Dutch or French and have a very good command of English.
