UCLouvain seeks to recruit a part-time academic in Sign Language (LSFB) Translating and Interpreting (50% FTE) at Saint-Louis – Brussels. The appointment includes teaching, research leadership, supervision of doctoral theses, and service on program committees and community outreach.

The candidate should hold a PhD in Languages, Literature or Translation Studies with LSFB specialization, demonstrate strong teaching credentials, and possess a command of Belgian French Sign Language and French,

Qualifications

• PhD in Languages, Literature or Translation Studies with LSFB specialization.
• Proven university teaching experience and international collaboration.
• Excellent command of Belgian French Sign Language (LSFB) and French; English at least B2.

Responsabilités

• Teach in LSFB translation and interpreting courses at bachelor's level.
• Lead research within IRIS-L and TranSphères, supervise doctoral theses.
• Engage in service roles: program committees, examination boards, community outreach.
