Why this role matters

As paralegal, you will be part of the Legal Function, supporting an international offshore wind business. You will report directly to the Head of Legal and work closely with legal colleagues as well as corporate, finance, development and operational teams across multiple jurisdictions.

The paralegal function is responsible for supporting strong corporate governance, entity management, efficient contract administration and legal operations across the JERA Nex bp group.

In this role you will

Corporate governance and entity management

• Manage company secretarial and corporate housekeeping matters for multiple group entities;
• Prepare board and shareholder documentation;
• Support corporate transactions including entity incorporations, restructurings and governance implementation;
• Maintain statutory registers and organisational charts;
• Monitor director mandates and corporate authorisations;
• Manage KYC/UBO obligations; and
• Coordinate legal formalities (including registrations, publications and apostilles) and liaise with notaries and external advisors.

Contract management

• Manage contract administration and related correspondence;
• Draft and review NDAs and general terms and conditions; and
• Maintain contract databases and correspondence.

Legal and administrative support

• Conduct legal and regulatory research to support the Legal team and business stakeholders;
• Obtain publicly available corporate information;
• Maintain corporate administration systems;
• Support compliance monitoring and legal process improvement initiatives; and
• Provide proactive support to the Legal team and business stakeholders on strategic initiatives, corporate transactions and governance activities as required.

To be successful in the role you will bring

Education and experience

• A professional bachelor's degree in Legal Practice or a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Law or equivalent relevant experience gained in a law firm, notary office or in-house legal department;
• Minimum 4 years’ relevant professional experience.
