Why this role matters
You will be joining us in the green energy world where we are building a resilient future. You will playing an important role by maintaining the durability and longevity of the wind turbine foundations and subsea cable assets, which consist today of approximately 200 foundations and 250 km submarine high voltage cables.
In this role you will
- Work with other Civil Asset Management Engineers and Civil Site Supervisors, responsible for a qualitative follow-up of all wind farms, with ownership of key assets and techniques.
- Plan, coordinate and execute offshore maintenance campaigns (preventive, corrective and adaptive).
- Perform preparatory logistics (crew, materials, parts, vessel, …) in collaboration with the Asset Management Engineer.
- Represent the wind farm owner towards subcontractors, acting as prime contact in the field, embodying the Employer’s “eyes and ears”.
- Supervise subcontractors, reviewing method statements and risk assessments, reporting, investigations and troubleshooting ad hoc issues.
- Develop constructive and long‑term relationships with civil subcontractors.
- Properly document offshore maintenance campaigns (measurements, pictures, DPRs, …) in a structured manner.
- Provide input from offshore maintenance campaigns for internal reporting.
- Report and follow‑up on safety and quality aspects during the offshore works.
- Advise technical solutions and procedural improvements for colleagues, creating links with QHSSE, Electrical and Turbine O&M departments.
- Operate with flexibility; location will be a mix of offshore and Ostend office, with occasional travel in Belgium and abroad, mainly Germany.
- Function in a structural teleworking regime, offering and requiring high autonomy.
- Report to the O&M Civil Manager.
To be successful in the role you will bring
- Passion for renewable energy, especially in offshore maritime environments, and willingness to work at heights.
- Experience as a graduate or seasoned professional in Civil/Construction/Mechanical/Marine Engineering.
- Fluency in English; Dutch and German are a plus.
- Team player attitude with strong communication skills, diligence and ability to work autonomously.
- A thorough technical background, hands‑on, practical, and solution‑oriented approach.
- A safety mindset with awareness of QHSSE legislation.
- Ability to maintain good working relationships with colleagues and subcontractors.
- Capacity to combine theory and practice with an eye toward continuous improvement.
