Job summary

Desobry, based in Tournai (Doornik), is seeking a Packaging Operator to join its biscuit and confectionery production line. You will oversee weighing, boxing, wrapping, case packing, and cartoning, ensuring visual, weight, and quality compliance in line with hygiene and food safety standards.

The role requires experience in industrial production, ability to manage multiple tasks, manual dexterity, and meticulous documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial production is required.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Manual dexterity and precision are essential for boxing and packing.
• Rigor in completing control and traceability documents.
• Good physical stamina for a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of HACCP, GHP, and GMP is an asset.
• Availability to work in 3 shifts and/or on weekends.

Responsibilities

• Check the weight of trays on the scale, make necessary adjustments, and complete control sheets.
• Ensure manual or robotic boxing (Schubert type): verify tray integrity, placement, addition of cushions, and lid closure.
• Feed and monitor the case packer, verify case compliance with the product sheet, and ensure traceability.
• Pack finished products into cartons, checking markings (batch, best-before date, Datamatrix), orientation, and quantities.
• Report any machine malfunction, set aside non-compliant products, and document anomalies.
• Maintain workstation cleanliness, sort waste, and rigorously apply HACCP, GHP, and GMP rules.
