Tether.io in Belgium is seeking an AI Harness Engineer to design and implement integrations for local AI systems, enabling scalable, private AI capabilities. You will push P2P technology, build agent harnesses, and contribute to AI tooling, with a focus on reliability, performance, and security.

Collaborating across teams, you will help shape the future of digital finance by delivering robust software for AI-enabled services and privacy-preserving data sharing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production software with P2P systems.
• Experience with AI/LLM tooling and related infra is a plus.
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills and knowledge of async/state management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver new features and bug fixes with a focus on reliability, performance, and user satisfaction.
• Design and develop tools and modules for AI capabilities and model types/sizes.
• Maintain high code quality through coding standards, reviews, and automated tests.
• Implement and develop P2P technology for use with local AI.
• Build agent harnesses, including tool calling, agent loops, context management, and structured outputs.
• Develop evals and test infrastructure for non-deterministic systems.
