Citymesh is seeking a Manager Network Engineering to lead and grow our Network Engineering team responsible for LAN, (W)LAN and private 4G/5G networks. You will drive structure, automation and Lean improvements while collaborating with PM, Operations and Support to deliver scalable engineering solutions.

You will coach and develop engineers, translate strategic direction into practical changes and ensure the team remains technically sharp across enterprise and service-provider networking domains.

Qualifications

• Experience leading, coaching and developing technical or Network Engineering teams.
• Solid background in enterprise and/or service provider networking.
• Wireless, routing and switching familiarity; private 4G/5G knowledge is a plus.
• Vendor landscape includes Juniper, Nokia, Fortinet, Extreme or comparable technologies.
• Ability to translate Lean/continuous improvement into practical changes.

As Manager Network Engineering, you lead the team responsible for the design, configuration and technical lifecycle of our LAN, (W)LAN and private 4G/5G networks. You combine people leadership, technical expertise and continuous improvement and help build a strong, efficient and scalable engineering organisation.

Your job in a nutshell

Lead the team – Coach and develop the Network Engineering team, with a strong focus on ownership, autonomy and technical growth.

Create structure – Build clear standards, processes and ways of working that support quality and efficiency.

Drive improvement – Translate Lean and continuous improvement into practical changes in the day-to-day organisation.

Enable smarter engineering – Encourage automation, knowledge sharing and more efficient ways of working.

Provide technical direction – Stay close enough to the technology to challenge decisions and support the team in making the right technical choices.

Strengthen collaboration – Work closely with Project Management, Operations, Support and other technical teams.

Build for scale – Develop an engineering model that can grow across teams, locations and the wider Citymesh organisation.

You have experience leading, coaching and developing technical or Network Engineering teams.

Helping people grow, setting clear direction and encouraging ownership comes naturally to you.

A solid background in enterprise and/or service provider networking gives you the technical depth to challenge senior engineers.

Wireless, routing and switching are familiar territory; knowledge of private 4G/5G is a plus.

Vendors such as Juniper, Nokia, Fortinet and Extreme are part of your technical landscape, or you have worked with comparable technologies.

You know how to translate Lean, continuous improvement or operational excellence into practical improvements.

Creating structure, leading change and bringing people along are key strengths.

Strategic thinking comes with a pragmatic, hands-on approach when needed.

Communication flows easily across different levels, from engineers to management, in Dutch and English.
