Wlgroup in Brussels is seeking a production DBA with deep hands-on PostgreSQL and MySQL experience to manage live environments, replication, and recovery. You will handle upgrades, clustering, backups, and root-cause analysis after incidents.

You will tune queries, monitor replication lag and wait events, plan capacity, and coordinate with application and infrastructure teams to keep systems reliable, performant and auditable across environments.

Qualifications

• Solid production experience on both PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Experience with replication, clustering and recovery testing.
• Real query optimisation practice on both engines.
• Capacity planning and monitoring instincts.
• Ability to coordinate with application and infrastructure teams.

Responsabilités

• Install, configure, maintain and upgrade PostgreSQL 12+ and MySQL 8+, standalone and clustered.
• Run routine maintenance: schema housekeeping, index maintenance, statistics, retention.
• Manage users, roles, privileges and authentication on least-privilege lines.
• Forecast storage growth and advise on partitioning and archiving.
